President’s Statement
Navigating into the future is difficult because we have never been there. We certainly cannot forecast the future, but we recognize this present era has created unprecedented challenges, and changes to our culture that will measure, and weigh our faith in the sufficiency of the scriptures. There is a growing hostility to the gospel and biblical Christianity. This demands the servants of the Lord, and His churches to equip leaders for the next generation.
For those of us who hold to historic Baptist distinctives, now is our time. We have been given the “Keys to the Kingdom”, and we must advance the Kingdom boldly into the future. We don’t need polished politicians to accomplish this. We need prepared people who are passionately soldiers of the cross. Those who find rest in academia without real world application will have no place of usefulness in an antagonistic culture. But, neither will there be a place of refuge or service for those who place no value in the academic pursuit of scripture. The world is in need of people who holds to a theology on fire. We are not speaking of wild fire, but a fire that is tempered with knowledge and wisdom.
This is what New Covenant College has to offer. We are pastors equipping the next generation of Christian leaders with quality and affordable training. We are partners with the Lord’s churches. Our prayer is that God would raise up servants that are passionate for the truth and unencumbered by tradition. We desire that our students will treasure the work and ministry of their local church. We don’t want to produce unthinking men who only parakeet what others have said. New Covenant College seeks to produce servants that will engage culture boldly, without timidity, and without apology, because their faith is anchored to the eternal truths of the Word of God.
