Are you sure you are going to heaven?

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not ...
in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you

Matthew 7:22-23

Are you 100% SURE YOU are going to HEAVEN?

If you’re concerned about where you will spend eternity:

  • It’s not enough to say you believe in God
  • It’s not enough to claim you’re a good person – how good must you be to impress God?
  • It’s not enough to go to church. No church, priest, or pastor ever died to pay for your sins. Nor could they.

FOUR STEPS LEAD TO GOD

STEP ONE

Agree with God that you need His help alone. The Bible says that we fall short of God’s perfection. We do things we know are wrong, and all our wishing, all our working, will not make any of that go away. Here’s an exact quote from the Bible: “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

STEP TWO

It doesn’t end well when we do things we know are wrong and we don’t care about the consequences, or invent our own solutions. The Bible says, “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23a)

The death spoken of here is eternal separation from God. We choose to go to that dark and awful place if we will not come to God in the simple way explained in the Bible.

STEP THREE

If you are not absolutely certain that you will spend eternity in heaven, then you’re probably on your way to hell.

That’s the price you pay for rejecting your Creator. If that thought bothers you, the best news you will ever hear is found in reading all of Romans 6:23b: “But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

God loves you so much that He took on human form and paid the price for your sins. Then He rose from the dead to prove He is qualified to pay your debt. Now He offers you a gift of forgiveness and eternal life. You can’t earn a gift. You can only receive it, if you want it.

STEP FOUR

You have a choice. Continue on your own path, doing what you think is right, pursuing what you want to do, and staying in control of your life, pleasing only yourself.

Or you can turn around and face God. The Bible refers to this as “repentance.” You can’t fake it, and you can’t turn halfway. It’s all or nothing. This may not be easy, but it’s essential – and when you decide to turn, the rest is easy!

The Bible promises: “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved … For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10,13)

THIS IS HOW GOD GETS TO KNOW YOU!

You will meet God when you ask Jesus Christ to save you from yourself, from your sins, and from hell.

It’s personal: between you and God.
It’s real: He will enter your life at your invitation, and you will know it.
And it is life-changing. Now, and forever.

Jesus described this experience as a new spiritual birth (John 3:3) that makes us part of the family of God.
